Mr. Bill Buckley

Buckley, William H. "Bill" - Passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on March 5, 2010 in his 84th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Joan in 1994. Caring dad to son Todd and daughter Lynn Birch and son-in-law Gordon. Proud Grandpa to Neil, Brandon and fiance Kate as well as Clint. Survived by his loving partner Joan Dadswell and her son Chris and Lisa Dadswell and daughter Linda and Jim McDonald as well as her five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He had been presented with the Outstanding Citizen Award of Hamilton Mountain September 21, 1984. He was also inducted into the Lacrosse Hall of Fame 1997, Past president of Westinghouse Hockey and Lacrosse. Bill loved his gardens and took great pride in them; he was awarded the Trillium Award four times. Visitation will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home 322 Fennell Avenue East on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. For those who wish to attend all are invited to a Celebration of Bill's life to follow the burial at the Upper James location of Cresmount Funeral Home 1020 Upper James Street.
