Passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Hamilton General Hospital on January 14, 2015 in his 83rd year. Born in Ituna, Saskatchewan. Loving husband of Mary Spilchuk (nee Ozimok). Dear father of Dr. June Spilchuk Martin (Alan) of California. Brother of Gene (Joyce), Zennia Lewko (Merle), Orest (Maureen). Remembered by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Nellie Spilchuk, and a sister in infancy. Bob was a member of Stoney Creek Kinsmen, K40, a Past President of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, he was a 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus Shashkevych Council 7464. Bob enjoyed bowling, and watching sports on television. Bob was a retired Stelco crane operator with 36 years of service. Friends may call at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday from 5-9 pm. Vigil Prayers 7 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 260 Melvin Avenue, on Monday January 19, 2015 at 10 am. Interment Mountview Gardens Cemetery.
