Brenda Margaret Gibson

Bren was predeceased by her parents Lois and Mel Gibson, Brothers: Bill, Tim, Charlie, John and Blair (Chip). Survived by siblings Marie Jonasson (Bob), Dan Gibson (Eva) and Ken Gibson (Norma) - nephews Rob Jonasson (Crystal), Ty Jonasson, and Cole Gibson – nieces Victoria, Olivia and Sarah Gibson. Brenda was a dedicated and innovative teacher originally from Thunder Bay, Ont. She did a short stint of teaching in Wunnumin Lake before moving to Hamilton, Ont. in the seventies. She then worked for the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board and was one of the very first Junior Kindergarten teachers. Brenda later went on to share her expertise by becoming a Kindergarten Consultant. Over the years, she maintained a strong relationship with many of the staff at C.B. Stirling, which was her first school in Hamilton when she arrived in 1975. She will be missed by this true group of friends. Brenda loved her feline friends that included Baby Bijon. Arizona, Tasha, Shania, and last but not least, Mandy Moo. Brenda enjoyed tending her plants that filled her apartment and her balcony. She especially loved her orchids. Brenda was fiercely independent and loved a good laugh. A big thank you to the numerous people that have helped Brenda the last 11 months. There are so many to name and you all know who you are. Now Brenda is free from pain.

Memorial Service at Bayfront Park on June 10th, 2023 at 1pm in Hamilton. Graveside service for the family in Thunder Bay at a later date. Rest in peace Bren until we meet again.
