It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Murdy, peacefully with his family by his side, on October 22, 2024, at the age of 69. Survived by his loving partner Linda Bourre. Devoted and loving father to Natalie, Robert (Boki), Patrick, and Angie.
He will be remembered as the World’s Best Papa to Danny, Chayce, Ava, Eliza, Urban, and Calogero.
Predeceased by both parents Urban “Bun” and Anne “Annie” (nee Fetterley) and his brother Billy. Survived by his siblings Elsie (predeceased Bill), Loreen (Ken), Lee Ann (Brian), and Quinn (Kathy).
He will forever be remembered as a treasured uncle and cousin to many.
Brian was known for his devotion to his family, his love of the north, his good humoured shenanigans, his gift of gab, and most predominantly his desire to help everyone he met.
He was our fixer of cars and home repairs (pretty much everything), our teller of stories and jokes, our biggest fish catcher (according to him), and our loyal supporter who was always there for all of us.
His passing leaves an enormous absence in our lives and in our hearts. His memory will be cherished forever by all that knew him.
