Carmelo Collura

Loving husband of Pietra for 65 years. Cherished father of Grace (Frank, predeceased), Maryann (John) and Sandra. Nonno will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Marie, Vanessa (Adam), Miranda (Steven), Daniela (Mauricio), Joseph (Vanessa), Adrian, Marcus (Alexa) and Fabian and great grandchildren Max, Eva, Ashton, Aria, Autumn and Franco. He is survived by his siblings Luigi (Margaret), Joe, Maria, brother-in-law Sam (Joanne) and sisters-in-law Domenica and Anna. He is predeceased by his siblings Charlie, Salvatore and Pietro, brother-in-law Alphonso, Domenic and Pietro, sisters-in-law Vincenza, Calogera and Theresa. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews and cousins in Sicily and Canada. Carmelo was an extraordinary man. He came to Canada in 1955. Carmelo met the love of his life here, Pietra, and built a beautiful home and family. He had a pure and kind heart that could be seen by everyone around him. Carmelo took great pride in his family and made sure they were always well taken care of. His greatest joy and blessings were his grandchildren and great grandchildren. We will most certainly miss his beautiful smile, positivity and giving heart. We will cherish all the wonderful memories very close to our hearts always and forever. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East on Friday March 31 from 5-8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, 305 East 37th Street, on Saturday April 1 at 9:30am. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice.
