

Chiovitti, Carmine passed away peacefully on March 2, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband of Antonietta, loving father of Lino (Rosalina) and Emily (Cosimo). Wonderful “Tata” of grandchildren Amanda (Vince), Christina, Cosmo Junior, Natalie; and, great grandchildren Luca and Cristiano. Caring son of Andrea and Emilia Chiovitti and son-in-law of Carmine and Giuseppina Colalillo in Italy. Carmine always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. For many years, Carmine worked as a professional industrial welder for Quigley Services in Hamilton Ontario. Carmine developed his skills as a welder in Canada and Venezuela. Also, Carmine used his creative welding skills to build beautiful metal arches for weddings, gateways, and reconstruct vintage and antique automobiles and coaches. Carmine enjoyed working in the garden where he planted many vegetables, plants, flowers and beautiful trees, and would share his Italian garden tomatoes with family and friends. We miss you and we love you always. A very special thank you to the entire team at Ridgeview Nursing Home in Stoney Creek for their compassionate care and dedication to Carmine over the last 7 years. We are forever grateful to all of you.
Visitation at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Sunday March 6, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, 200 Mount Albion Road, Hamilton on Monday March 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice.
