Carolina "Lina" Federico

It is with great sadness that the family of Lina Federico (nee Cantelmi) announce her passing at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, on Wednesday April 30, 2014 in her 81st year. Devoted daughter and daughter-in-law of the late Paolo and Marietta Cantelmi and the late Pasquale and Maria Federico. Beloved wife of Mike Federico for 59 years. Dear mother of Pat Federico (Maria Roman), Paul Federico, and Mary DeGiuli (Joe). Cherished nonna to Angela, Jonathan, Erica and Liana. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Anthony (predeceased) and Maria Cantelmi, Elda and the late Livio Ventresca, Gilda and the late Italo Lelii of Hamilton. Lina will be sadly missed by her many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends in Canada, U.S.A, Italy, and Argentina. Lina was born in Sulmona Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1949. She will always be remembered by her kind, generous and giving spirit. Family and friends are welcome to visitation at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday from 6-9pm and Friday from 2-4 and 6-9pm. Vigil prayers on Friday at 6:45pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Incarnation of our Blessed Lord Church (Barton St at Nash) on Saturday May 3, 2014 at 10am. Entombment in Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery to follow. A special and heartfelt thank you to Dr Dehesi, the doctors, nurses and staff at the Juravinski Hospital, V.O.N., the staff at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, as well as Father Charlie Galea of Incarnation parish for his many visits and prayers.
