Dear Grandma McKenna,

I will always cherish the fond memories I have of you when you called and visited me on my birthdays, and when I visited you and Grandpa at your home and the Mckenna farm. I promise to honour you and Grandpa McKenna by using my abilities to help others.

I'll fondly remember walking with Grandma to the mall to get an ice cream cone from McDonald's. She loved those ice cream cones. I love you Grandma, please give Grandpa a hug for me. Rest in peace. 

I spent so many hours with Grandma as a young girl.  She was the sweetest, most caring woman.  I remember going for walks to Woolco, doing crosswords, watching Y&R, the sound of her knitting needles, the best homemade rolls and the famous slippers.  She would always be shuffling around and that sound was most comforting.  She always gave the best hugs and was always so happy when I arrived.  I honestly don't think I can ever recall a day where she wasn't happy and chipper with a touch of teasing thrown in as well.   I'm happy she is back with Grandpa so their love story can continue however I'll miss her dearly.  

Walking over to Mohawk College so we could sit in the cafeteria to scratch lottery tickets, sliding around your house in your hand-knit slippers, putting together a puzzle and snacking on caramels and gingerale are some of the little life moments I had with you that I'll never forget.

Hands down the most selfless and caring person I’ve ever known. I will truly miss the oatmeal cookies and ginger ale. 

I will always remember the kindness and warmness grandma had. I have fond memories of the fresh biscuits, the  gingerale she always offered, when we painted a Christmas ornament together, the cozy slippers she made us, many family gatherings,  and sitting together on her front porch. She was a very special person and will be missed always. xoxoxo

I was sorry to hear about the death of your mother. She was a very nice lady but, honestly, when we were young she scared me (: ! Having said that, she put up with me coming by every day to wait for Barb to walk to school. I  also remember running into her many times at Woolco Plaza. She always impressed me because she walked from your house to Woolco Plaza!

We very much appreciated seeing the pictures and videos shared by the family, and know you will never forget her.

I will always remember her beautifully warm smile, and what a wonderful and special family she raised.   It takes a greatly devoted and loving woman to not only raise seven children, but to extend her love and devotion to make each of her grandchildren know how special and loved they each were to her as well.   

We pray that as you miss her now, and call to mind the boundless heart warming memories made over the years, that each tiny seed of love you felt from her and for her, be continuously nurtured in your hearts and shared with others;   and we also pray that the Spirit of God, whose care she is now in, brings you Peace and Comfort ..... until we see Her, and All, of our loved ones again.

I will always remember watching Dragon Tales with Grandma before elementary school, doing puzzles together, and going for pedicures! As I pass by farms I will think of my grandma and her love of cows.

Charlotte was a great friend of the Doyle's and her brother and sisters.

Grandma would call on our birthdays and sing the "happy birthday song" a wonderful memory and now a family tradition.

My deepest sympathies on the loss of Charlotte. I have many lovely memories of visits to Hamilton when Martina was visiting.  No trip to Ontario was complete without a trip to visit the boys and their wives. Charlotte was always very welcoming and made a delicious meal for us.John was always teasing her. She will be missed by many.

So many memories.The many visits at the farm. I thoroughly enjoyed the times we spent together.Always enjoyed her stories of her own children and grandchildren.How she met the love of her life.,and that love will live on and on forever.Ken and Wanda.

Although I haven't seen any of your family in a very long time, I have memories of all of you coming to PEI and Nova Scotia many years ago to visit grandparents in both provinces.

After my second year of University in 1967, I went to Hamilton with my girlfriend. John and Charlotte shared their home full of children  with me until I found a position as a maid with a wealthy family and had other lodging.

I had every Sunday afternoon off so I went to John's for a visit and John loaned me the car to go to church to meet my Sunday obligation.

 Charlotte was always very welcoming and I really appreciated visiting with family on my afternoon off.

 My deepest sympathies to the family in your loss of this beautiful , warm mother, grandmother and great grandmother and lady.  The pictures are beautiful and  such a wonderful tribute.

You were true a light in the sky, I remember I would just be happy to come and see you knowing we had a whole day of laughter ahead of us . It seems like yesterday you were laughing at me as I was spraying the darn squirrels you hated outside on the lawn. I will miss all the stories we shared, not to mention my favorite how you met  Grandpa selling your pies. You will always be in my thoughts Grandma, I love you very much. Goodbye for now, but not forever as there will always be another time when we can share another laugh.
