Peacefully on Wednesday August 24, 2016 at The Meadows LTC Ancaster Ontario. Beloved husband of Barbara Jean Jennings for 45 years. Loving father of Amy Schaefer (Erik), Catherine (Kate) Lazier (Richard Fong), Colin Laird Lazier (Natalie), and William Lazier (Amanda). Wonderful Poppa of Martha and Audrey Schaefer, Elizabeth Campbell and James Fong, Hannah and Colin Searson Lazier and Daphne Lazier. Loving son of the Honourable Colin Simpson Lazier (Jocelyn) and predeceased by his mother Martha Gillies. Brother of Douglas Lazier (Mary Ellen Fitzgerald), Sarah Keating (Thomas) and Thomas Lazier (Catherine). Son-in-law of Jean Jennings. Brother-in-law of Laird Jennings (Joan), Mary McKeon (Barry) and Margaret Dickinson (Donald). Colin was a Partner of Lazier Hickey LLP., a former President of the Holland Society of New York, former Chair of Chedoke McMaster Hospitals, former Chair of Chedoke Health Foundation, former Secretary-Treasurer of the Malloch Foundation, and former Chair of the Official Board of Centenary United Church. Visiting hours Monday August 29, 4-7pm. Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main St. E, Hamilton Ontario. Service will take place Tuesday August 30, 2016 at 11 am. St. John’s Anglican Church, 272 Wilson St. E. Ancaster Ontario. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hamilton Health Sciences or Hillfield Strathallan College, would be appreciated.
