I remember when we met, so loving and made me feel so comfortable.  You were an amazing strong woman and I'm so glad to have known you.

Darlene gave me the greatest gift of all - a nephew.  She had the most amazing smile and an enormous heart. I admired her work with animal rescue and rehabilitation. I'll be here for Eric whenever he needs me.  So sorry for the toll her loss will have on her whole family.

I don’t have the words to say how much I’m missing you right now Dar . I feel I’m living a nightmare. You had more love to give life to live. They say we fought like sister but lived even harder . My life will never be the same without you. I love you . 10 years of love laughter n dreams. I hope you are riding free running through the clouds . 

I am sorry for the family's  lost. We were neighbors of your mom and family.  Now Darlene  rest in peace . I remembering  you riding your motorcycle and your boys , they were your life.  Gone to soon !

I met dar in 2001 at the oakwood place , great years of memories , shes was so full of life,  a beautiful soul,  a strong woman who I will miss deeply:( my deepest condolences to her children and her family , dar spread your wings and fly sweetie , rest easy my friend . Much love

I am not even sure what to say, my sweet Dar. I still cannot believe you are gone, this is one of the hardest goodbye's I have ever had to make. You overcame so much in life and still remained positive every step of the way. Watching you fight through your recovery, and continuing to help others was very admiral. I will never forget all the times you were there for me when I got picked on as a kid, when you pushed me to get my motorcycle license, when you flew in and finished my speech at Nan's funeral because I couldn't do it. Now I have to attend your funeral and it's just so heartbreaking. I wish this was all just a bad dream. As I write these words I cannot believe that you are gone...much too young.   You have touched the lives of so many...I still remember the first time I met you, you were only 4 years old...so tiny but fiesty even then.  Then you became a part of my family.  You were one of the strongest women I have ever known.   It is with a heavy heart that I have to say good bye ...RIP Dar I will love you forever - Aunt Lynda 

Dear Crissy my heart is breaking for you and Jennifer and the boys. I drove Dar home a few times from work when she lived on Upper Wellington and saw first hand the critters that she loved lol. We felt like family when we all worked together.  She was a loving brave woman and I admire the courage that she showed over the last few years as she faced all of her challenges. I can’t be with you on Saturday but please know that I am thinking of you and sending love and hugs 

I met Darlene when she lived on Concession St. and she had her Rotti and Pitbull.  I was always so afraid of those dogs..lol  But she was the kind of person that would show you just how loving those dogs were and in no time she had me hugging those dogs!  We formed a friendship from then on and had some fun times clubbing and just hanging out at the café she lived above.  She loved the home made wine I use to make, and I always put a bottle or two aside for her whenever I made a batch.  We drifted apart after she moved and after the accident we didn't get to keep in touch much.  I will always miss that smile and that sharp wit, she was quick with that....lol  I know you have not had an easy time the past few years..I hope now you can rest peacefully.  I'll have a bottle of wine with your name on it when next we meet!!

I met Dars mom during  B.R.O charity ride 2013.  I was introduced through motorcycle friends who knew Dars mom & Dar.  I then was made aware of Dars personal situation because of past motorcycle accident that caused her to become paraplegic.   I had the privilege of meeting Dar at her charity ride, i was happy to support. 
Dar did amazing to make awareness and to donate raised funds to The Paraplegic Association, Ontario.  I admired Dar, knowing she suffered herself and she put herself forward in trying to help other's alike herself.
