Domenica Tirimacco (nee Susi)

It is with deep sorrow and much love we mourn the passing of our loving Mom and Nonna, Domenica early on Saturday February 18, 2023 in her 89th year. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dante, of 55 years and reunited with her loving son, Guy. Daughter of the late Amico and Margherita Susi. Devoted mother to Lora Gunn (Gary) and mother-in-law to Terri Freeland (Joe). Cherished Nonna of Sarah Tirimacco Penkin (Michael), Jessica Tirimacco (Maveric) and Alexandra Gunn. Will be sadly missed by her brothers and sister, the late Loreta Leone (the late Ottavio), Nick Susi (Rosa), the late Fred Susi (Teresa) and Sophie Susi. Sister-in law to the late Luigi Tirimacco (the late Maria), Frank Tirimacco (the late Maria), the late Elide D'Andrea (the late Angelo) and Flavio Tirimacco (Barbara). Domenica will be remembered by many nieces and nephews as Zia Sunday. Domenica was born in Pettorano Sul Gizio, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1952. Her passion for cooking, baking, gardening, crocheting and knitting is now passed down to many who loved and learned from her. Special thanks for the compassionate care provided at Wentworth Heights LTC. The family will receive family and friends at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King St. E. (at Kenilworth) on Thursday February 23, 2023, from 4pm-9pm with Prayers at 4pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church (128 Edgemont St. S.) on Friday February 24, 2023 at 10 a.m. followed by entombment at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. Donations may be made to Juravinski Cancer Centre, the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or the Alzheimer Society.
