Passed away peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital on Friday May 19, 2017 at the age of 86 in Hamilton. Dear mother of Jim and Jayne (Nick) VanDerLelie. Loving grandmother to Lauren. Born in Birmingham, England she came to Canada in 1955. Doreen was a long-time volunteer at McMaster Hospital between the years of 1980 to 2016. Following her retirement from D’Allaird’s Centre Mall she enjoyed years of travelling and gardening. Special thanks to Juravinski C3 and St. Peter’s 3E staff for their compassionate care over the past 5 weeks. To honor her wishes cremation has taken place. Donations in memory of Doreen can be made to the St. Peter’s Foundation or a Charity of your choice.
