She is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Doris was very proud of her Newfoundland heritage, to which she held dear. She was often heard singing many familiar Newfoundland songs. Doris' hands were always busy, whether it be embroidery, knitting, quilting and gardening. She loved her English country flower garden. All of her life as a homemaker, she always focused on family, especially for her mother-in-law and husband during their illnesses. She was extremely proud of her grandson Nolan and his family. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
The family would like to express their thanks to the Palliative Care Unit at Parkwood Institute (London) for their care and compassion, as well as many friends and family for their support during this time.
