In his 54th year suddenly at home. Doug was a loving and compassionate husband to Sheri (nee Higgins), dear father to Brett and Steven, and cherished son to Eleanor and the late Ralph Banner. Doug was a close friend and devoted son-in-law to Joyce and the late Doug Higgins. Lovingly remembered by sisters Nancy Taylor (Kim), Julie Capretta (Fred) and his brother, the late John, and brother-in-law Kevin Higgins. Doug’s nieces and nephews remember him fondly. He was a devoted nephew to Joan Lowry. Doug was employed at the City of Hamilton for 23 years and a devoted member of Linden Park Community United Church. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton, on Sunday, May 27th from 2-5 p.m. and will continue on Monday, May 28th at 10 a.m. at Linden Park Community United Church, 484 East 16th Street, Hamilton, until time of service at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Linden Park Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
