Betty was the dear sister of the late Jack (Anne) Hyde. She was the cherished aunt of Scott (Hendrika) Hyde, great-aunt of Melissa, Courtney and Jessica and great-great-aunt of Brooklynn and Kaelynn. Betty was born and raised in Hamilton to Ralph and Jessie Hyde and resided in the family home her entire life. She will be truly missed by all of those who knew her.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at St. Peter's Hospital for their compassionate care for Betty, as well as the staff at Baywoods Long Term Care Residence.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 1-2 p.m., followed by a chapel service at 2 p.m. Betty will be laid to rest in the spring at Woodland Cemetery, Burlington.
