Elizabeth Koshurba

On Thursday, Novmber24, 2011 in her 88th year, Betty peacefully passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital with John, her beloved husband of 61 years, at her side. Loving mother of Robert and Kymm, Glen and Sue, and Larry. Beloved grandmother of David, Kip and Robin, Kaitlin and Lauren. Survived by sisters Olga and Art Hencher, Katie and Pat Smith and Sister-in-law Dianne Evanchuk. Betty will be missed by her nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by close friends Madge Stephan and Marie and John Chezepock.

Betty was a 54 year member of Ryerson United Church, participating in many activities of the church. For many years she was a devoted volunteer for the Cancer Society. The family would like to thank the devoted doctors and staff at the Juravinski Centre and the ALC Ward at St. Joe’s. As per Betty’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at 1:00 pm on December 10th at Ryerson United Church, 842 Main St. East, Hamilton, L8M 1L6. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm.
