Peacefully at his home on July 19th, 2011 at the age of 83 years. Left to mourn are his wife of 60 years, Marie, His son Brent, his brother Earl (Shirley) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Born on a farm outside of Harriston, Ontario, Elmer left home at the age of 17 to pursue the electrical trade and was a hard working member of IBEW, local 105 for over 37 years. He enjoyed reforesting on his recreation property where has planted over 37'000 trees over the years.
His family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 1020 Upper James St. on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel. A private burial will take place in the near future in Neustadt, Ontario.
