Predeceased by her parents, Mary Grace Williams and Darrel Ellery Williams, her sister Darilyn (Dennis) and brother in law Dave Maraldo. She is survived by her siblings, Wayne Williams (Myrtle), Gail Overholt (Bob), Terry Maraldo (Dave), Kevin Williams (Debbie), sister-in-law Diane Riley and by her mother-in-law Donna Riley.
Beloved wife of Allan Riley for 55 years; loving mother of Rob (Lynn), Greg (Laura), Shannon Tsantilas (Demetre). Cherished Grandma to Mackenzie, Alexander, Lauren, Zoe and James Lott and beloved Aunt to many Nieces and Nephews.
Elrene was born and raised in Niagara Falls. She grew up just a few doors down the street from her future husband Allan. She was literally "the girl next door". Their fathers worked together at the same plant almost all of their working lives. Her dad (Darrel) had a hobby farm and Allan's predeceased brother Gary affectionately also referred to her as the "farm girl from down the street". Al and Elrene had a wonderful life together, having three beautiful children and were blessed with five grandchildren.
Elrene worked as a legal secretary for many years with Lawyer Ronald Barrs and close friend and co-worker Michelle Mifsud. Elrene was a former member of the Burlington, Kitchener and Stratford Kinettes.
She loved Tap Dancing, Euchre, catching up on Facebook and coffee or preferably wine with her closest friend Marg Vollick.
The family would like to welcome friends and family to an open house celebrating Elrene's life at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, in Hamilton, on Sunday, July 17th, 2022 1pm till 4pm.
