Ethel (Loomes) Drawbell passed away surrounded by love on January 17, 2015, just shy of her 94th birthday. Ethel is predeceased by her husband of more than 50 years, Tom, her daughter Mary Tremblay, grandson Ben Dolyniuk, and five siblings, Alfred, Mary, Mabel, Doris and James. Ethel's zest for life will be carried on by her son and daughter-in-law David and Jackie Drawbell, grandchildren Karen Dolyniuk and husband Scott Brooks, Jeff Child and his wife Lyndsay, Devon Brucculeri and her husband Ed, her four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ethel embraced all that life offered and wasn't afraid to tell it like it is. Bowling, golf, travel, reading books, playing cards, crossword puzzles and great food - she loved it all. Ethel was a generous and kind spirit who cherished her family and many great friends, including long-time friend Walda Janson and her dining companions and fellow card sharks from the Court at Rushdale. Many thanks to the Palliative Care team at St. Joseph's Hospital for their compassion, care and kindness. At Ethel's request, there will be no service as she did not want anyone to mourn, but instead celebrate her life and she asks that you raise a glass to the "old girl."
