Francesca Ricciardone

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Francesca at the age of 74 on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Clarion Nursing Home. Francesca will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 55 years, Antonio. Dearest and beloved mother of Carmine. Predeceased by her daughter Franca (2006). Beloved mother-in-law of Nick Alfano. Loving daughter of the late Antonio and Rosina Pizzi and daughter –in-law of the late Carmine and Francesca Ricciardone. Lovingly remembered by her brother Gaetano (Mary) Pizzi, U.S.A. Also remembered by her family in Italy, Giovanni (Alfonsina) Pizzi, Michelina (Gesualdo) Russo, and Peppino Pizzi. Beloved aunt and second mother to Antonietta (Tony) Piccirillo and her family. Francesca will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, Italy and the U.S.A. Our sincerest thanks and gratitude to the Staff of Clarion Nursing Home and to Dr. E. Ricci for their demonstration of compassion and care. Family will receive friends at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday, April 19th from 3-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 5 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugenes Roman Catholic Church (232 Queenston Road, Hamilton) on Wednesday, April 20th at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be made in loving memory of Francesca to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
