Francis Walter "Frank" Skretkowicz

SKRETKOWICZ, Francis Walter (Frank) B.S. (Waterloo University) CMA Gone home to be with his Lord and Saviour, after a courageous, valiant battle, at his home on Tuesday November 15, 2011, at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Lida (nee Kiritschenko) for 22 years. Loving father of Donny Levinsky and Adrienne Osfolk (Anton). Grandfather (Dido) of Nyla and Ellery. Dear brother of Martin (Kathy). Special brother-in-law of Zina Radesch (Bob) and Walter Kiritschenko (Dana). Will be sadly missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Ben and Sophie and loved sister Suzanne. Frank was a sub-deacon, treasurer and long time member of St Vladimir's, a 27 year past employee of Dofasco and a 12 year past employee of the United Ukrainian Credit Union. Special thanks to Dr. P. Major, Dr. T. Young, Dr. W. McMillan, nurses Laura (VON), Ali (St. Elizabeth's) and many others. The family will receive friends at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Friday, November 18th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Panachyda Friday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated at the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St Vladimir's by the Very Reverend William Makarenko, 855 Barton Street East, on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 9 a.m. Interment to follow in Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre, Hamilton SPCA, St. Vladimir's or a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.
