Gary Allen Donovan

With very heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father and friend Gary Allen Donovan, age 77, on February 10, 2024. Survived by his loving daughters Dayna Donovan, Heather Tanner (Jordan) and Jennifer Donovan. Cherished Papa of Hallah, Soul, Seren and Charlotte. Also left behind are his brother Rick (Gay), nephews Derek Gibson (Kerry) and Jeffrey, niece Julia and many other beloved family and friends. Special acknowledgement to the late Gail Donovan, mother of his girls. Predeceased by his sisters Carol and Dorothy as well as parents Lorne and Gwendolyn Donovan. Reunited with his special companion, Sharon Casey.

Gary was a well-respected and loved employee of Dofasco for over 40 years. He enjoyed spending time on the water, boating and fishing throughout his life but nothing gave him greater joy than his grandchildren. Dad, through the years, you've given us so much. Advice when we needed your wisdom, encouragement when we needed a push, understanding when we needed a friend...and along with these gifts, you always gave us your unconditional love.

Cremation has taken place and a visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. East, Hamilton, ON (905-387-2111) followed by a memorial service in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm.
