Genowefa Geanie Lachoski Pyziak

Sadly our family announces the peaceful passing of Genowefa "Geanie" on September 21, 2011 at the age of 95 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jakob Leo (1999). Cherished mother to Joe (Daragh) and John (Ann). Loving Babcia to Moya, Malcolm, Tracy, Cheri (Jeff), Jon, Cori and Kayla. Pra Babcia to 2 great grandchildren. Beloved aunt to Mary (Michael), Bernice (Eric), Wanda (Henry) and Chester (Christina) as well as great aunt to many. Dearly missed by her extended family and friends. Special thanks to the wonderful staff of Macassa Lodge for their care, compassion and support. Geanie was a proud member of the Holy Rosary Society , Kostki Societies of St. Stanislaus Church, YWCA, Royal Canadian Polish Legion Branch 315 Auxillary. She was a creative artist who was blessed with many different talents, jewelry making and painting just to name a few. She will be dearly missed for her talents, beautiful smile and love for her family and friends. Visitation will be held at TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL 1309 King Street East (at the Delta, opposite Gage Park) 905-549-2417 on Friday, September 23, 2011 from 5-9 p.m. Prayers at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Stanislaus Polish Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 9 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery - section 15.
