George William Lang

Peacefully, at the Juravinski Hospital on February 25, 2012, in his 83rd year. Loving husband of Ann (nee Armstrong). Dear father of Scott (Wendy), Michael (Karen), and Karen and her good friend Darcy Regan, whose favorite words were, "Your father always makes me laugh". Proud grandfather of Adam (Shannon), Rachel (Chris), Ashley (Tayo), Spencer, and Kelsey. Great-grandfather of Alicia. Survived by sister Margaret (Dick Wearing), and sisters-in-law Margaret (Bert Dilks), and Pauline (Don Farraway). He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. George's first job was delivering the Spectator on his bicycle, and after 60 years, he found what he called the perfect job, being a starter and ranger for thirteen years at Chippewa Golf and Country Club. A celebration of George's life will be held Sunday, March 4, 1-4 pm. at Marquis Gardens, 1050 Rymal Road East, Hamilton, ONTARIO. Grateful thanks to Dr. Richard Packer for his extra special care to George. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to "Community Living", 191 York St., Hamilton, ONTARIO, L8R 1Y6.

He was not one for tears
