Passed away suddenly at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Flora (nee Verrall) for 61 years. Loving father of John (Diane), George, Vera, David (Jackie), Jerry, Flora (Brian), Debbie (Shaun) and Darlene (the late Rick). Cherished grandfather of 23 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Joan, Stan (Eve), the late Helen, Ruthanne, Louise and Audrey (Lucien). George will be sadly missed by lifelong friends Jim Sibley, Andy Arsenault, nieces and nephews. He was a retired employee of Dofasco after 25 years of service. Visitation at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 11am until the time of Funeral Service at 1 pm. Cremation to follow.
