While his time with us was cut short, George lived a life filled with love for his family and a passion for connecting with everyone he met. George was a dedicated son and brother. He cherished his family above all else but found his greatest joy in being an uncle to his adored niece, Savana, and nephew, Noah.
George Tannourji, aged 58, passed away unexpectedly on April 2nd, 2026, in Hamilton, Ontario. Born on February 5, 1968, to his father the late Said Tannourji and his mother Rose.
George was a private person who spent his entire life dedicated to his family, career, and pursuit of property ownership. He was a spirited and determined individual who carved his own path in life. George entered the workforce immediately after high school, finding his entrepreneurial passion in gas station ownership and property management. His strategic vision and relentless work ethic propelled his career. Over his 38-year career, he navigated through numerous ownership opportunities. His final contributions to the community, as the proud owner of a kennel resort, Pet Paradise, were publicly recognized and are still appreciated. A huge Maple Leafs fan, he found joy in following his team while maintaining a simple, quiet life enriched by the company of close friends and family.
George had very close friendships that he nurtured from childhood and also considered his friends as family members. His life, though not bound by blood to many, was rich with memories and deeply rooted relationships that shaped his legacy.
A simple obituary cannot fully encapsulate George’s life, but it serves as a tribute to a man who was greatly loved and will be sorely missed by the many lives he encountered. George’s life story is a vivid picture of dedication and service, leaving others inspired by his ceaseless work ethic.
George is survived by his Mother Rose. Also survived by his sister Marya, brother-in-law, Len, niece Savana and nephew Noah who all miss him deeply. His legacy will continue to influence all those he loved so dearly. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will forever be remembered for his simple, unassuming nature and his profound impact on the lives he touched.
The family would like to extend our deepest and continued gratitude to the incredible staff and customers at Pet Paradise.
