George Yanakovic

Survived by his loving partner and love of his life Milica, who he affectionately called Mila. He was a loving dad to his step-kids Victor (Jasmine) & Sofija (Rizwan) and best deda to his Milla. Sadly missed by his Aunt Zofa, her son Ivan Mikesic and his family, Uncle Ivan and Aunt Freda Furlich, cousins Ivan and Lily Furlich and their family, Eddy and Lisa Furlich and their family, Nikola and Kamelia Janakovic and their family, Mira and Josip Trzok and their family, Josip Janakovic and his family, Mijo and Durdica Janakovic and their family. He will also be greatly missed by the Katic, Vrabac and Vincic families as well as other family and friends in Canada, United States and Croatia. George was an accomplished and talented tool and dye maker. Anything you needed - he could build it! He loved the outdoors and spending time water-skiing and snowmobiling at the cottage and his favourite hobby, flying his planes. He will join in heaven his mama, Magda, tata Jura, step-dad John and his little brother Johnny. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday from 6-9pm with Prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 11am. Interment Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory may be made to Holy Cross Croatian Church.
