It is with great sadness that the family of Gerry announce his passing at the Hamilton General Hospital on Sunday, October 2, 2011 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Louise (Campbell). Loving father of John (Evi Aasa), Andre, Ginette and step-father of Steve Campbell (Karen), Marcia Barrett (Carl), Denise Plaksy and the late Kevin Campbell. Step-father-in-law of Kathy. Cherished step-grandfather of Chantelle (Nick), Blane (Edna), Amanda (Wayne), Stephen ( Janene ), Alexandra, Samantha, Kristy, Kevin and Kassie. Step-great-grandfather of five great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Guy (Jacqueline), Madeleine, Simone (Emile), Marielle (Graham), Aurore and Noella. Predeceased by his brothers Leo, Adrien and sisters Marie and Therese. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm with Vigil Prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Notre Dame du Perpetuel Secours, 243 Cumberland Avenue, on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 11am. Interment Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arthritis Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
