Gordon O'Toole

Peacefully, in the arms of his family, at St. Peter's Hospital on Friday, April 8, 2011 at the age of 80. Reunited with his loving wife Mary, his parents Timothy and Dolly, his brother Roddy and favourite horse Molly. Survived by his son Shawn and daughter Kelley (Ted) and by his brothers and sisters; Wilfred (Mary), Jean (George), Ida (Late Johnny), Bunny (Late Johnny), Marge (Paddy), Dolena (Late Lloyd), John (Josephine), Bill (Late Judy) and by many nieces and nephews. A retiree of Dofasco with over 35 years of service, Gordon enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the Old Tyme Fiddle Club and Flamboro Downs. The family will receive friends at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday, April 11th from 6 - 9 p.m. A celebration of Gordon's life will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, April 12th at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Assistance Program would be greatly appreciated. A special and heartfelt thank you to the wonderful Nurses and Personal Support Workers at St. Joseph's Home Care, the Juravinski Wound Clinic, St. Peter's Hospital and the many friends, family and neighbours who looked after Gord during the last few years.
