Peacefully after a brief illness on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the Juravinski Hospital in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Azari for 56 years. Loving father of Gustav Jr. Survived by sister Etelka, and brothers Janos and Endre. Predeceased by brothers Jozsef, Peter, Imre, and Geza and sister Mariska. Also, survived by many nieces and nephews in Hungary. Gustav served as president and cantor of St. Michael’s Hungarian Greek-Catholic Church for over 25 years. Friends will be received at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME-FENNELL CHAPEL, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Michael’s Hungarian Greek-Catholic Church, 521 West 5th Street, Hamilton on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. Donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
