After a year long battle from a massive brain bleed, Gus passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 7, 2021. He was in his 77th year. His family and grandchildren were the most precious to him. He did everything they wanted or needed. Gus worked at Ford Motor Company in Oakville for 40 years. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and enjoyed listening to his Polish music every day. He also loved taking pictures and videos and enjoyed meeting with his friends at Eastgate Mall. Gus will be sadly missed and never forgotten by his loving wife Helen (nee Kapitaniak) which they were married for 55 years and his children Kristy (Philip) Taylor and Julie (Davide) D’Angelo. Gus was the most proud Dziadzia to his five grandchildren: Joshua, Chloe, Dylan, Emma and Sophie whom he loved dearly. They will miss all the fun times spent playing games, especially their favourite hide and seek with their Dziadzia that they loved so much. He also leaves behind his brother Joseph Wojtowicz, sister Diane (Len) LeGris, Ciocia Lodzia Ziemiak, many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Stefania Wojtowicz. Gus was taken away far too soon from all of us, but we know in our hearts he is in a better place and not suffering anymore.
“He will be cherished in our hearts forever.”
