BLACK, Henry Victor May 3, 1930 - October 26, 2010 Suddenly and with sadness, we announce the passing of Henry Victor Black on October 26, 2010, in his 81st year. He will be dearly missed by his sister Josephine Truty and brother Stan (Ina). Survived and loved by numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Henry was known as an entrepreneur and collector of rare books. Owner of Black’s Books; this landmark bookstore has been visited by local and national collectors and the curious alike. Books were his life. Graduate of St. Francis Xavier, Nova Scotia. He went on to a career with Energy, Mines and Resources Department for the Government of Canada. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 29th at St. John the Baptist Church, 128 Edgemont Ave. South. Cremation has taken place.
