

Passed away peacefully on November 22, 2017, aged 88 years, of pneumonia. Henry predeceased by his wife, Charlotte, his son Robert, his brother William, and his sister Katherine. He is survived by his daughters, Christine and Catherine (Gary), eight grandchildren, April, Karl (Julie), Julie, Ian (Marion), James (Alana), Carolynne (Attila) Cheryl and Lynda (Tyler). Seven great-grandchildren bear testament to his lineage: Dominic, Jaylen, Henry, Emily, Theodore, Abbygale and Arthur. Henry's sister-in-law, Peg (Margaret Sharp) Bethune also survives him. Henry moved to the Hamilton area mid-way through the last century, working as a carpenter and learning the art of building a fine house. He joined the Hamilton District House Builders' Association and served a term as it's President in 1964. He had an eye for development land and branched into the tasks of purchasing, preparing and selling lots for numerous surveys in Hamilton, Burlington and Stoney Creek area's. Family will receive friends at CRESMONT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Friday, November 24th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Barton Stone United Church, 21 Stone Church Rd. W., on Saturday, November 25th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu, of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
