Ilija Mioc

Ilija passed away at the Juravinski Hospital unexpectedly on Thursday, August 22, 2019 in his 78th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Seka Marija (2014). Cherished Tata of Katarina Mioc (Mark McElwaine), Suzana Mioc (Alan Lindsay), Sandra Perisa (Zoran) and Anna (Ovidiu). Proud Dida of Matej (Renae), Daniel, Veronika, Joshua, Mae and Victor. Pram Dida of Kieran and Bowie. Survived by his siblings Kaja, Ilka, Stefica and Josip. Ilija will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends in Canada and Croatia. The family wishes to thank Ilija's best friends, Mary Kay Bride, Steve and Mary Kozar for the unconditional love and support during this most difficult time. Thank you to all of the staff at the Hamilton General Hospital and the Juravinski Hospital.

Visitation at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday from 5-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Catholic Church, 1883 King Street East on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery.
