Iolanda Giordano

GIORDANO, Iolanda (nee Spadafora) – it is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Iolanda at the Juravinski Hospital, on Saturday December 1, 2012 at the age of 85. Devoted wife of Nicola for 59 years. Loving mamma of Carmine (Franca), Joseph (Mary), Mario (Julie). Cherished nonna of Patrizia Trapasso (Domenic), Lyndsey Dickson (Ryen), Adriano, Sarina, Nicholas, and biz nonna of Liem Dickson and Isaac Trapasso. Iolanda will be sadly missed by many special nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her daughter Franca, grandchildren Jason, Alicia, her loving parents Gaetano and Guiseppina Spadafora, her sister Saveria, her brothers Ernesto and Giovanni, in-laws Carmine and Teresa Giordano, 3 brothers-in-law, and 4 sisters-in-law. A very warm and heartfelt thank you to Dr Patel and all of the wonderful Dr’s, Nurses and Staff at the Juravinski Hospital. Family and friends are welcome to visitation at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday December 4th from 2-4 and 6-9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Francis Xavier Church (304 Hwy #8 Stoney Creek) on Wednesday December 5, 2012 at 11am. Entombment to follow in Our Lady of Victory mausoleum at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made in Iolanda’s memory to the Juravinski Hospital.
