Peacefully with her loving family by her side, Irene entered into eternal rest on April 20, 2013, joining her beloved husband Fred. Irene is survived by her brothers Jim (Sheila) and Dan and devoted sister June, children Fred (Anne), Linda, Cathy (Rick), Pam (Doug), Ron (Pam), and Karen (Pete), grandchildren Bob, Paula, Jennifer, Tim, Tom, Angela, Alexander (Rebecca), Michael, Christopher (Amanda), Sarah, Justin, Emily, Nolan, Nathan, Allan, Stephanie, Michelle, Kenny and great-grandchildren Dillon and Cohen. Irene was a talented quilter and treasured the love and friendship of her many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Cresmount Funeral Home (322 Fennell Ave. E) with the Prayers at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church (305 East 37th St.).
