YURGAN, Ivan Joseph Peacefully and surrounded by his family, at St. Peter’s Hospital on Sunday, November 8, 2009, in his 69th year. Beloved husband of Danica. Loving father of Ivan and his wife Kelly; and Marian and her husband Chris Zamperin. Cherished grandfather of Hayley, Jordyn, Grace, Hannah, Christian, and Hayden. Survived by his brother Peter and his family in Canada; by his brother Stjepan and his family in Croatia; and by his sister Dragica and her family in Croatia. Will be sadly missed by his niece Anka and Ivan Bubanovich and their family in Oakville; as well as nephews and nieces in Croatia. Also by his sister-in-law Draga Boich and sons, John (Sue), and Nick (Maryanne) and their families. Ivan worked proudly for 47 years as a plumber, the last 25 years he worked at the Chancery Office for the Roman Catholic Diocese in Hamilton where he leaves behind his second family. Special thanks to the staff of St. Peter’s Hospital and the Hamilton General Hospital for your care and compassion. The family will receive friends at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King St. E. (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers on Thursday evening at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Francis Xavier Church, 304 Hwy. #8, Stoney Creek on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
