After 20 years of battling with cancer, with the help of the special nurses “Iwan’s Angels” he has passed away in peace and without pain, at St. Peter’s Hospital on Monday, November 7, 2011 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Zuzana. Cherished Tato and Dedko of Jaroslav and family, Tana (Michal) and her children Natalka, David and families, Dusan (Monika) and their children Zuzana, Dominika and their families. Will be sadly missed by Iveta, Adrzej Panek Family and all the neighbours from Bristol Street, all his family in Ukraine, Slovakia and in the Czech Republic. Special thanks to all the nurses, doctors and social workers at St. Peter’s Hospital, especially nurse Tammy, social worker Liz and caregivers Anna and Bozena. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday November 10th from 1-3 pm and 7-9 pm with Panachyda at 7pm. Funeral Service at Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Church, 15 St. Olga Street on Friday November 11th 2011 at 10:30am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Peter’s Hospital.
