James Crechiolo

Loving father of Stephanie Whittaker (Donald), and Carl Crechiolo (Carolyn). Cherished grandfather of Michelle Whittaker, Michael Whittaker, Nicole Crechiolo, and Ryan Crechiolo. Dear brother of Mary Cracchiola, Joe Crechiola, Provie Donoghue, Grace Di Mercurio, and Rita Madill. Predeceased by Fran Di Mercurio, Angie Rizzo, Bill Crechiola, and Eleanor Zuk. Special thanks to extended family, friends and caregivers Vicki, Tanya, Joy, and Maria for their kind, loving help. Thank you also to his friend Jim who brought smiles to his face. James was a parishioner and usher for over 60 plus years and a member of St. John’s Parish Bowling league for 50 years, many times a top bowler. James was very honoured to have the Hamilton Spectator write a cover story of him as Milkman for Silverwoods Dairy in the days of house delivery in Burlington. James was a very loving, caring, kind and thoughtful husband, father, grandfather and genuine person to all who knew him. In conjunction with his dear Mary, he was the rock of the family. He loved people and they loved him so very much. Such a thankful and kind man. He loved pets, especially his dog Rusty growing up. Then he enjoyed his grandchildren’s dogs Ellie (Michelle), and Wesley (Michael). We love you so very dearly and will miss you so very much, dear dad.

James’ family will hold a private Funeral Service at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home with Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA.
