HAWTHORNE, James Thomas Quietly at home, Jim departed this life early in the morning of June 2, 2015 in his 88th year. Predeceased by Doreen, his loving wife of 51 years. Jim is survived by his beloved daughter Susan, her husband Martin and his pride and joy, grandson Liam. He will be greatly missed by sister-in-law Mary Goldsack, nephew Paul Goldsack (Joanne) and niece Janet Callfas (Don), plus many friends and extended family. Jim was passionate about his work at Revenue Canada. He was deeply committed to his parish, Church of the Ascension (Anglican), and received the Order of Niagara for his hard work and dedication. In his retirement Jim could regularly be found on the golf course or at the Hamilton Victoria Curling Club where he served as a Trustee for many years. Jim lived his life to the fullest and found his greatest satisfaction in helping others. In lieu of flowers donations may made to the Church of the Ascension Memorial Fund. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at Church of the Ascension, 64 Forest Ave., Hamilton at 1 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2015. "Well done good and faithful servant!"
