James "Jim" Richard Smye

He is reunited with his beloved wife and best friend Sharon Smye (2021). Loving father of Craig (Amanda) and Jason (Tania). Much loved Papa of Corina (Tarun), Jacob, Zachary, Abigail and Jakob.

Dear brother of the late Irma, Jack (the late Sonya), Karen (Gaspare), the late Susan, and Brad (Cindy), and brother in-law of Marlene (the late Terry), Mark (Terry), Marsha (Ray), the late Charlie (Bonnie), the late Tracey, the late Rich (Wendy).

Predeceased by his parents Gerald and Jessie. Will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 12 pm to 12:45 pm. The Memorial Service to celebrate his life will follow at 1 pm in the Cresmount Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkinson Canada.

Dad was an avid Blue Jays fan and enjoyed going to the Casino. We know he would love for you to cheer the Jays on this season.
