Mr. Jan Sokolowski

Peacefully, surrounded by his family Jan passed away on July 26, 2010 at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband to Zofia. Loving father of Jerzy (Elizabeth) and Krystyna (Jerzy). Cherished Dziadek to Eva (Stan), Ola, Magda (Adam) and Peter (Kayleigh). Pradziadek to Anoushka. Survived by his brother Alec. Dearly missed by his family and friends in Poland and Canada. Special thanks to the caring staff at Victoria Gardens for their wonderful care of our father. Visitation will be held at TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1309 King Street East (opposite Gage Park) at the Delta 905-549-2417 on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 at St. Stanislaus Polish Roman Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery - section 5. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Stanislaus Polish Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated.
