Jean Gasse

1922-2017

Passed away peacefully at Heritage Green Nursing Home on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, in her 95th year. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Sarah Reynard and sisters Bernice McQuade, Laura Spence, and twin June Laing. Beloved Mother of Wendy Davies (Leonard), Janet Tovey, Nancy McQuaid (Ron), Stewart LaCombe and Debbie LaCombe (Tom). Dear Nana to Denise Langs (Rick), Suzanne Koudjeti (Zak), Jim Davies (Jenn), Mandy, Katherine and Melissa Davies, Shelly Tovey (Carl), Jill Jennings (Steve), Kevin McQuaid (Sara), Robin Johnston (Kevin), Andrew McQuaid (Cindy), Steven LaCombe (Katie), Chris LaCombe (Carmen), Michael LaCombe (Robyn), Justin LaCombe (Karrie), and Rochelle LaCombe. Jean considered her many great-grandchildren a true blessing.

She had many hobbies including gardening, knitting plus the making of many treasured quilts for her family. She truly had a love for people.

Her family thanks the staff of Heritage Green for the care and support of Jean these last 3 ½ years. Many thanks to her CCAC nurses, Bayshore, St. Joe’s especially Julianna (or Josie as she called her). Thanks to the SAM Program at First Place, St. Peter’s and the RHLI and to Dr. Bankey and his nurses for their care throughout the years.
