I knew Jim during his time working at Shoppers.  He told me stories of his life and found out I'd gone to school with Jim Jr. I met Jean briefly at Shoppers as well as the boys and their wives.  I wish good memories for them as Christmas approaches.  

Dear , Jim , Gary , Craig and all the family . We are all so sorry for your loss this year and I'm going to miss two of my greatest friends . They will always be in my heart and they will always be part of yours .

I am one of your Dad Jim’s many cousins in Scotland. My dad was his uncle Pat and I remember the lovely card your dad sent to my family when our dad died.
My main memories of your dad are of him in Grannie Flood’s house when I think he stayed there. We visited every Sunday and I seem to remember your dad Jim being a very handsome and trendy young man who always seemed to be getting ready to go on a night out!
Everyone here speaks very highly of your dad here - a really lovely man.

We all have lovely memories of Jean and Jim both in Scotland and in Canada.  Two beautiful and loving people who were so lucky to have one another for many years.  They will be remembered with a huge amount of affection by all their family in Scotland.

Jean and Jim were among the most considerate and kindly people we knew . It has been  a great honour  to have been their friends and to share their journey through the decades in Canada ,we will miss their cheery “hello how are you “greetings whenever we met them and they were a joy  to know ,

A lifetime of great memories, it's hard to share just one. However, one of the best was when my wife Lesley Flood and I travelled to Kenya to the Massai Mara for a luxury safari. My mother and father talked about that trip often. They loved meeting and talking to Rod Stewart and his wife Penny at the resort, they loved the daily animal safaris and the fantastic food we ate. To me the greatest thing was getting to spend 2 weeks together and getting to truly know two great people, my mum and dad.

After the Massai Mara it was off to Amsterdam and to experience the historic city of sin. We spent three great days and nights experiencing beautiful sights and sounds. I am eternally grateful to a mother, who was a true warrior and much stronger than I ever knew. A father who was loving and caring and showed me what true love for your wife is all about. These two were the perfect team, knowing when to be soft and strong and complimenting each other's strengths.

They have shown my three amazing children (Melanie, Jimmy and Leah) what true character and love are all about. They were amazing Nana and Papa, that always made time for their grandchildren. They will be greatly missed however always in their hearts and memories.

To Gary Jim and Craig my deepest condolences, your mom was a kind dignified and funny lady. Both you mom and dad welcomed me into their home and treated me like one of their own, I don’t have to tell you that she will be missed but both your parents will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Truly the best nana and papa in the whole world. I miss them both so very much and i’ll forever be grateful for the years spent with them. They both made me feel so loved and i had so many great memories with them that will forever be in my heart. Our trips to the trailer when i always used to sneak over to aunt wilma and dinahs trailer and always getting caught by nana, my “joe stories”, my singing performances when i always used to make up my own words,  sneaking sweets with papa when nana told us we weren’t allowed, having dance parties with nana, and the best sleepovers where we would stay up all night watching dancing with the stars and the ellen show! I know that they will always be watching over me and they’re together now. I love you both so much xx

Thanking Jean and Jim for all the wonderful memories we shared together. The special love they had for Fran, Wes ,Melanie and Jimmy, I smile knowing that they are together again, They both were loved so very much, and always will be,  Rest in peace.

Got to know them both through Century beach trailer park but met Jim at Hamilton Celtic supporters club , This was a fabulous couple , fun loving and would give their shirts off their backs to help anybody . God rest both of you now that you are back together . Always in our hearts and in our prayers .  Condolences to all the family.

Just the absolute best grandparents! We lucked out. Some stand out memories: playing dress up in Nana’s very stylish closet, dancing on the kitchen counter to the Scottish radio station, being chased by imaginary clowns with papa in Scotland, being chased by a real life squirrel with nana, sleepovers at their house(better service than any hotel), looking through old photo albums with nana, papa making the best tea(lots of extra sugar), Nana’s cooking and constant tray of snacks and goodies, and being spoiled rotten by both of them in general. Love you to pieces Nana & Papa xoxo

So many happy memories of summer by the lake and getting to know Jean and Jim.  They will be missed for their kindness, happiness, warm smiles and the sharing of a kindly word, and on many occasions an alcoholic beverage.  The blessings of wonderful caring sisters and being surrounded by a loving family making memories that will last forever.  Through life you meet so many wonderful people who impact your life in a positive way and Jeanie and Jimmy were two such people.
