With family close by her side in her 92nd year Jeanette slipped away peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. She was the daughter of James and Olive Spence. She has been reunited with her love Roy and is most likely enjoying a tasty beverage while dancing to their favourite tunes. Mom is survived by Bonnie Smith (Terry, dec.), Debbie Bauer (Ralph), Joanne Otterspoor (Frank) and Rob (Maureen) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We are grateful for the many precious memories we share. Special thanks to the many who cared for mom while she spent her last years at St. Peter’s Residence at Chedoke. Arrangements have been entrusted to Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King St E. (at Kenilworth) where visitation will be held beginning at 11:00 am on Monday December 19th with a memorial service at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Hamilton or a women’s shelter of your choice in memory of mom would be appreciated by the family.
