Jeremy James Spong McCartney

On Wednesday, December 13, 2017, after filling people's lives with joy and happiness for 35 years, our dear Jeremy was received into God's presence. He was reunited with his loving dad, Chris McCartney and his loving biological father, Gary Spong. Survived by his caring mother Kathryn McCartney and his siblings, Aaron (Tabitha), Alanna (Robinson) Inkster and Brendan (Meaghan). Happy uncle to Edmund, Ava and Eli. Adored grandson of Coco (Corol McCartney) and Stanley (Terry) McCartney, and Papa and Nana (Gord and Eileen Spong). Also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, & cousins. Special friend to Rick Venema, Cheryl Gzik, & Daniel Barrette & their families. Special thanks for the wonderful care provided by all staff at Victoria Gardens. We are heartbroken, but we take great comfort in knowing that Jer is completely healed and standing with his Loving Savior. Thanks for being awesome Jeremy! Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Wednesday, December 20th from 5-8 p.m. Celebration of Life will take place at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, 61 Mohawk Rd. W., on Thursday, December 21st at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens, Highway #8, Stoney Creek. Donations in memory of Jeremy may be made to Easterseals or McMaster Children's Hospital.
