Jim Gardner

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Gardner of Hamilton in his 74th year after a brief illness. He died peacefully, surrounded by family and friends at St. Josephs Hospital on September 2nd, 2012. Jim is survived by his loving wife Mery Gardner and his children Daniel Gardner, Cheryl Dodd (Tom), and Linda, grandchildren and great grandchild. Jim is a retired Hamilton Street Railway bus driver and served in that capacity for 24 years. More recently he was owner operator of Central D Delivery Services. Although Jim loved hard work, his greatest joy was to be surrounded by friends and family. Thank you to Dr. Whitehead and staff in the Cardiac Care Unit, St. Joseph’s Hospital Hamilton. Rest in peace, loyal husband, father, grandfather and friend. Visitation will take place on Friday, September 8th from 6 pm to 8 pm at TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1309 King Street East, (opposite Gage Park at the delta). Service will take place on Saturday, September 9th, 2012 at 11:00 am.
