Peacefully, on Saturday May 22nd 2010 at the Hamilton General Hospital, in his 94th year, now reunited with the love of his life, Helen. Loving father of Kathy and her husband Ken Hajas. Devoted grampa of Lauri Barrette (Daniel), Gail McLennan (Robert) and Susan Barker (Bryan) and great grampa of Jessica, Emma, Andrew, Kara, Ashley, David and Kristen. Dear brother of Helen Charron and Marjorie Kay and predeceased by his twin brother Jim and his sister Frances. John retired after 35 years of service at International Harvester, Product Engineering.
Special thanks to Bertram Place Retirement Home in Dundas, Family Dr. S. Jamani and staff, and Dr. C. Yegappan and his team on the 7 South Stroke Ward at the General for all their special care.
Family and friends will be received at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate John's life will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel followed by interment in Woodland Cemetery.
