John Innocenti

It is with great love and sadness that we announce the passing of John Innocenti, dear father of Nancy Sabo (Matt) and Virginia Coles. Loved Grandpa of Sarah, Emily and Joshua Coles. Brother of Frank, Rick Legedza, and Linda Pelletier. John passed away at home in Hamilton on Sunday, January 29th, in his 80th year. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph Innocenti and Ann Caprice, his former wife, Mary, and siblings Margaret McLaughlin and Michael Legedza. An avid sportsman, John enjoyed the outdoors and finding a good fishing hole “over there”. He was a true sports fan attending every football and hockey practice/game for his grandchildren, always offering his “support” to referees from the sidelines. John's family invite friends and relatives to the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday, February 2nd from 4 to 7 pm. A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Friday, February 3rd at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. The family would like to thank John’s lifetime buddies who have reached out to share stories and offer their support. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Hamilton-Burlington SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
