Beloved husband of Anne. Loving father of Richard, John (Christina) and David (Maryann). Cherished grandfather of Matthew (Alexandra), Joshua, Jude, Luke, Mia, Brianna and Alexander. Great grandfather of Mila, Luna and Mateo. Dear brother of Barbara Frankovich (the late Nick) and family, the late Steve Barkovich (Rebecca) and family, and Anka Boldin (late Franjo) and family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton, from 4-8 p.m. Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Parish, 304 Highway 8, Stoney Creek at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025. Interment at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery, 681 Mud Street East, following the mass. Donations in John’s memory may be made to Holy Cross Parish or Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice.
